Signing Up For Services

Occasionally you may need to sign up with a new service which requires regular payment, or may have shared credentials with other members on the team.

Setup guide

  • Use an appropriate email address for the service
    • If it allows for team members to each have their own credentials, you may use your own company email address
    • If you'd like to use a single address, be sure it's a team inbox such as eng@xmtp.com
  • Store any applicable passwords in a shared vault within 1Password
  • If payment is required, please create a new virtual card with appropriate spending limits via Ramp (see our how-to guide)
    • Set up a new virtual card
    • A manager will need to approve the card
      • They will receive a notification in Slack
      • Contact them directly if it's urgent
    • If the service allows for a separate billing address, please use ops@xmtp.com
  • Add the service into Tools We Use and set up a pull request
