Weekly Dispatch 30

Hey team,

Last week was my favorite week since we started XMTP. It felt different. Not because it's a new year and some New Year's Resolutions we wanted to change or something. Mostly, because it felt like we were all focused, executing, making things happen, and working together.

Thanks so much for all of the work, discussion and execution. I'm so excited to get this out to the world, start getting feedback, and enable 1000s of developers to build communication tools for the next internet.

I wanted to share something @Graham_McBain said to me last week. It inspired the hell out of me and I was so excited that he was thinking so big:

I'm here because I believe we can be responsible for the next wave of massive companies built on top of XMTP. We have the opportunity to be the platform that brings together the best CEOs and products for the next wave, all built on top of us. Imagine in 7 years we get to say we enabled the next Twilio, Whatsapp, and other billion dollar communication companies to exist all built on top of XMTP.

I wanted to share because I truly loved hearing it. I also want to remind all of us (including myself) how much of an impact we can have working on XMTP. It's sometimes hard for me to even comprehend how big this can be, but I love when people on our team are thinking this big and it's a reminder to all of us to keep pushing and thinking bigger.

That said, the secret to executing is thinking big and executing the next step in complete alignment. I couldn't be more excited to get started this week. Let's stay focused and keep getting feedback on our SDK.
