Hi team,

The movie trailer is out and now the real work begins.

Thanks for all of the hard work this week. I wanted to highlight the work of Flora and Darick specifically! (that’s also the entire team at this point)

Darick did so many iterations on our announcement graphics and it’s safe to say that people loved it. I had one of my biggest mentors reach out to me and say “my companies are boring, I need to up my game for sure. Your team’s creativity is ahead of everyone. I just wish my face was on that poster.” Fun fact, now he wants to invest. The power of doing things our way.

Flora deserves an award for getting our main site live. The site is awesome and works great. She worked so hard and ended up having to work extra hours to make it happen. Thank you Flora for making this happen.

Matt and I are truly grateful for our small but mighty team’s work to make this announcement such a success. It’s both humbling and nerve wracking to know how many people believe in us and are on our team as investors.

I will call out that this was our first launch, and there are many things to improve. Matt and I sat down to think about where we could do things better and are excited for a retrospective this week with the team.

Let’s have a great week.

What we are reading / listening to

  • I listened to this Tim Ferriss Podcast with an Iconic Therapist Sue Johnson. Even tho it was about relationships, I got so much more out of it. It was one of the best conversations I’ve ever listened to about empathetic communication. It really made me think way beyond personal relationships and think about how to be more empathetic and create safe space for all conversations in my life. I highly recommend. Listen here.

Let’s have a great week and welcome @petermdenton to his first week! To kick it off, here’s a week in the life with Peter.

A Week in the Life with Peter Denton

This weekend was a big weekend for our family. My daughter, Ellis, (who is 11), played her first big show, with her band Silver Moon. The band is all girls, ages 12,11, and 10.

The event was for the Blues Society of Seattle, which had about 5 bands, and a crowd of a little more than 100 people.

Our family is musical, with both my son and daughter playing since they were 8. It's a great way for us to bond, even though they have both surpasses me in abilities.
