About me

What will you be doing at XMTP?

Working hard to make sure we are building a company and mission we are proud to work at. A place for all of us.

Where are you currently based?

Nashville, TN

What's your primary time zone?

UTC–06:00 (CT)

Where did you grow up?

Peoria, Il.

The entire town is built around the construction equipment company, Caterpillar. An industrial town.

The town has been declining over the past 20 years as jobs have been moved to other countries and closer to the developments being built.

Allowing people anywhere to find jobs on the internet is a big part of my mission in building remote and global companies.

The ability to give opportunities to people in towns like where I came from by just having access to the internet, is something that I’m so passionate to work on.

What does your household look like?

I have a partner, Katie and a dog, Fleetwood. Fleetwood Mac. 😄 - he’s a Goldendoodle.

What keeps you energized?

I love new ideas, new ways to ask questions about things, and people who tell me when things go wrong. There’s never a problem as long as you tell me the problem. We can solve anything we know about.

Anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I love Pickleball, music, playing guitar and piano, and anything outside. Activities are my jam.

Work preferences

Where on the spectrum of introvert to extrovert would you place yourself?

Highly extroverted

What's your preferred way to receive feedback, in terms of speed?

Right away

What's your preferred way to receive feedback, in terms of format?

In person / over video, Over the phone

What's your orientation toward conflict?

I see conflict as mainly positively, and try to be provocative at times.

What time(s) of day are you most productive?

Early morning, Evening

What do you value more than anything else?

Prepared questions

Not asking questions. Then asking more questions. Not wanting feedback.

What does 'work-life balance' mean to you?

Working when working works for you. Making sure to set boundaries to live life and give direct feedback of those boundaries.

The 9-5 window of “productivity” is bullshit and we should find the time that works for us, live the life we want and create boundaries to do that.

A focused hour is better than a distracted day.

Anything else you'd like to share about what makes for your ideal work environment?

Just text me. Relationships are just conversations. Never hesitate to reach out, I’ll always want to hear from you. Seriously, don’t question it. Just message me.

What's your favorite way to decompress after work?

Pickleball.
